Matt King – Young Adults Pastor

Matt was born in 1970, in Southern California, but was raised in north Idaho, where fishing, hunting and a variety of other adrenaline highs are plentiful. He’s been married to his wife, Nona, since November 7th, 1992, and is blessed with the two coolest kids ever. Here are some things to help you know him a little bit better…

3. If you could try one profession other than your own, what would it be? Sky Diving Instructor

4. If you could have coffee with anyone in history other than Jesus, who would it be? Charles Spurgeon

5.  What is your favorite season? Why? Summer! Nights by the fire pit, golfing, fishing, working in the yard, bocci ball, baseball, BBQ’s and vacations…

6.  What is your life verse? Don’t really have just one… How about a favorite book of the bible? I’m loving Colossians right now…

7.  If you could have any super power, what would it be? Being Wolverine would be pretty cool…

8. Describe the best vacation you’ve been on. The islands of Hawaii but especially Kauai. Hiking, driving around in a jeep with the top down, sashimi, drinks at sunset, golf…

10. Name a place you have never been to but want to visit soon? Italy

4. If you could have coffee with anyone in history other than Jesus, who would it be? Abraham Lincoln

5. What is your favorite season? Why? Summer! It’s warm and I love being outside. I love riding my bike, golfing, swimming and hanging out around the water. The extra hours of daylight are awesome, plus It’s fun having people over for BBQ and chowing down.

6. What is your life verse? Acts 20-24
“But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus–the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.”

7. If you could have any super power, what would it be? Flying would be cool!

8. Describe the best vacation you’ve been on. So far…Kauai, Hawaii baby! (Scuba classes, sunset cruise, Island tour by helicopter)

I’ve been told that I’m honest, blunt and a spaz…haha…but I think I’m pretty laid back. I’ve lived in Spokane my whole life (a Valley girl) and I love it.

1. Latest Hobby? Photography….but I’m trying to make it more than a hobby.

3. If you could try one profession other than your own, what would it be? Professional singer

4. If you could have coffee with anyone in history other than Jesus, who would it be? Probably Mo, because he’s my hero!

5. What is your favorite season? Why? Um Summer duh….We have the best summers here!

6. What is your life verse? I have a lot but the one that always comes to mind is “Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!” Luke 1:45

7. If you could have any super power, what would it be? I’ve always wanted to be like Elasta Girl from the Incredibles…haha

8. Describe the best vacation you’ve been on. Oh gosh…I have two. The first one was my parents took me to Orlando for my senior graduation present and I got to bring my 3 best friends and my brother and sister in law came too! It was a blast. My second was way more recent and it was to NY baby! I fell in love with the city and want to go back so bad!

9. Top 5 Most Listened to on your iPod? I LOVE music…so….right now I’m really into Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood, Cold Play, Onerepbulic & probably John Legend.

10. Name a place you have never been to but want to visit soon? Italy hands down!

Marty “Mo” Moses – Media Team Leader

I was born March 20th, 1981 and raised in Spokane all my life. In April of 2002 I was lucky enough to marry my High-School Sweetheart of 5 years and trust me when I tell you…..I married WAY over my head! My wife and I have 2 beautiful children: Our 5 year old son Tre’ and our 2 year old daughter Tyra.

1. Latest Hobby? Hmmm. I have 2 new hobbies.

1. Working out again. I used to be in shape, but man my wife can cook! I’ve recently started P90X and it’s going well for me. Hopefully in a few months I’ll be half as ripped as Matt King!

2. Fishing. Believe it or not, I’d never been fishing with someone who really knew what they were doing. Matt took me out for my first time and man, I LOVED IT! What’s crazy too is that I didn’t even catch a fish! I’m kind of scared to actually hook something…..I might get too excited and fall out of the boat!

3. If you could try one profession other than your own, what would it be? Mixed Martial Artist

4. If you could have coffee with anyone in history other than Jesus, who would it be? My dad when he was 18. I’d love to have dirt on him!

5. What is your favorite season? Why? Summer is awesome! I rip around on my Honda Ruckus…..ok, I cruise around on my Honda Ruckus…..ok, ok, ok,…..I PUTT around on my Honda Ruckus but it’s still fun! (For those of you that don’t know what a Honda Ruckus is…You’ll see me soon enough!)

6. What is your life verse? Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

7. If you could have any super power, what would it be? To read my wife’s mind! Oh how much simpler life would be!

8. Describe the best vacation you’ve been on. My honeymoon we went to Waikiki. My wife was home sick and island sick and I was stuck for 14 days with her in the hotel room! Not what I was waiting so patiently for! All that would make her feel better was ice-cream snickers bars. By the end of the trip I totaled our receipts from the ABC Store…..$213.64 on Ice Cream Snickers Bars!!! Ahhhhh. Good Times. LOL!
