Small Group Leaders
Job Description – A married couple that will host a group of young adults in their home and facilitate discussions on the topics assigned. To connect with those who are in their group throughout the week to encourage, pray for and relationally invest into. To be prepared before each group meeting to start and end on time so that those who have schedules can rely upon the time structure of the group.
Expectations – Live a life devoted to Jesus in prayer, reading, and obeying God’s Word. To be a member of Eastpoint and attend services and small groups at least 75% of the time. To be financially contributing to the church. To be faithful to promote unity amongst the group and keep an open chair attitude that allows for anyone to come to the group. To invite those who are a part of Veritas that aren’t currently in a group to visit and join. To be available to those in the group to disciple them as they grow in their faith and understanding of Gods will for their life and Gods teachings throughout His word. To complete a training on the procedures and protocols of the ministry and submit to a background check.
Commitment – By being a Small Group Leader you are committing to seven (7) months of leadership in the small group starting in October and ending in May (December is optional). This will require a two (2) hour commitment once a week as you host the group in your home. This will also require a one (1) hour meeting every month to discuss the celebrations in your group and your ideas for improving the ministry.

Children’s Ministry Volunteers
Job Description – To serve the church by providing a safe place for their children to be ministered to. This will include age specific teaching and engaging activities designed to promote physical and spiritual health. To serve the coordinators/pastors overseeing your specific area of ministry or in some cases the ministry as a whole.
Expectations – Live a life devoted to Jesus in prayer, reading, and obeying God’s Word. To arrive 30 minutes prior to every service you are scheduled to serve, with the exception of illness or pre-arranged vacation and must advise well ahead of time to arrange for a substitute. Uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of Eastpoint. To be a member of Eastpoint church. To be outgoing and friendly to everyone. To complete a training on the procedures and protocols of the ministry and submit to a background check.
Commitment – By being a Children’s Ministry Volunteer you are committing to a position that will require at least two (2) hours per week and depending on the position could exceed four (4) hours per week.

Worship Team
Job Description – To please our God by expressing your talent to the best of your ability in a manner that glorifies Him and Him alone.
Expectations – To pursue a deepening relationship with God with the way you worship Him privately. Worship is an outward expression of an inward condition. To participate in worship whether you are on the platform or not. To complete all tasks given by your team leader. To attend worship rehearsals when scheduled.
Commitment – By being on the worship team you are committing to at least three hour a week commitment when you are scheduled to be on. Special services such as Easter and Christmas may require more time.
You will be required to attend a one hour meeting every month to discus the celebrations in your team and your ideas for improving the ministry.
Dress Code – The desire for Veritas Worship Experience is to Glorify God. Therefore you will be asked to dress in a manner that is appropriate and doesn’t call attention to your self. Although the dress code is casual, please consider the following: 1.- Ladies, please don’t wear dresses or skirts in length above the knee, no shirts or dresses that expose shoulders, always consider layering to avoid inappropriate exposure when wearing low cut shirts or dresses. 2.- No shorts in length above the knee (Men and Women) 3.- No T-shirts with distracting or inappropriate prints. (Men and Women) Failure to follow the dress code may lead to your team leader or any Eastpoint Staff to ask you to step off the stage and not participate on that day. Again, our highest goal is to point to Jesus and not ourselves.
Personality Fit – As we strive for excellence in using our gifts collectively to worship God, we realize that at times, regardless of our talent, there may be occasions where differences in personalities don’t gel with the team leaders or other band members. This is not necessarily a negative issue. After prayer and consideration by the team leader and team member, a decision will be made regarding the continued participation of that particular team member.

Greeters
Job Description – A person who welcomes our guests by greeting them at the main doors to the church, the main doors to the auditorium and those who have already taken their seats. To assist in the overall cleanliness of the facility by picking up garbage, left behind bulletins, or other miscellaneous items that detract from the appearance of the facility. To provide a minor level of security for the church by informing security personnel of any actions viewed as alarming, distracting or dangerous. To be aware of those who have children and help guide them to the Children’s ministry area by walking with them if necessary. To answer questions about the ministries of Eastpoint and to provide direction to those who are new. To seek out those who are seated within your section (if you are working the auditorium) and introducing yourself to those you don’t know and welcome them; saying hello to those you do know and by praying for those who are in your section throughout the service.

Coffee Bar
Job Description – A person who serves at the coffee bar by taking orders, preparing drinks, maintaining equipment, cleaning, and if asked, to handle the financial transactions.
Expectations – Live a life devoted to Jesus in prayer, reading, and obeying God’s Word. To arrive 30 minutes prior to the service you are scheduled to serve, with the exception of illness or pre-arranged vacation and must advise well ahead of time to arrange for a substitute. Uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of Eastpoint. To be a member of Eastpoint church. To be outgoing and friendly to everyone. To complete a training on the procedures and protocols of the ministry.
Commitment – By being a server at the coffee bar you are committing to at least one (1) service per month and will be required to attend a one (1) hour team meeting every month.

Media Team
Job Description – A person who serves the Media-master and the Veritas Pastor by doing research for web content or media that coincides with the sermon plans, ministry programs, outreach events, and special events that are a part of Veritas.
Expectations – Live a life devoted to Jesus in prayer, reading, and obeying God’s Word. Uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of Eastpoint. To be a member of Eastpoint church. To complete a training on the procedures and protocols of the ministry. To be computer literate and capable of internet research techniques. To be creative and inventive.
Commitment – By being on the media team you are committing to at least one (1) hour of research per week and will be required to attend a one (1) hour team meeting every month.

Blog Team
Job Description – A person who serves the Blog-master and the Veritas Pastor by doing research for blogs or articles that coincides with the sermon plans that are a part of Veritas or to write their own articles for blogging.
Expectations – Live a life devoted to Jesus in prayer, reading, and obeying God’s Word. Uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of Eastpoint. To be a member of Eastpoint church. To be computer literate and capable of internet research techniques. To be familiar with writing composition and common grammar. To be familiar with the cultural perspectives of both believers and non-believers on the relevant issues. To be familiar with blogging and webpage design. To complete a training on the procedures and protocols of the ministry.
Commitment – By being on the blog team you are committing to at least one (1) hour of research per week and will be required to attend a one (1) hour team meeting every month.

Offering Team
Job Description – To collect, count, process and secure the offering from the boxes mounted throughout the auditorium and entry area.
Expectations – Live a life devoted to Jesus in prayer, reading, and obeying God’s Word. Uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of Eastpoint. To be a member of Eastpoint church. To be financially contributing to the church. To be willing to have a background check. To be able to grasp basic accounting procedures and bookkeeping practices. To be trustworthy to not disclose, discuss or reveal personal information about people or the amounts they give to the church or ministry.
Commitment – By being on the Offering Team you are committing to at least one (1) service per month and will be required to attend a one (1) hour team meeting every month.
